[REPORT] SSH The Exhibition Vol. 13 [+ Limited Booklet Scans]

From November 29th to November 30th, 2020, SUPER★DRAGON members Tomoya and Hyoma featured as guest models for the SSH the Exhibition project in their 13th volume in the series. The SSH the Exhibition project aims to bring together creators with various entertainers to promote local fashion design in Japan through a series of small, pop-up style exhibitions. At the exhibition, limited clothing items could be purchased which were modeled by the two members themselves. For every purchase of clothing, a special limited booklet was given to each customer full of pictures of Tomoya and Hyoma modeling the entire line. Nine Dragons visited the exhibition in order to share the experience with international fans as well as give a peek at the limited booklet!

Located in the trendy yet relaxed neighborhood of Daikanyama, the exhibition space lie tucked behind small cafes and upscale clothing boutiques which were mostly closed by nightfall. The space was discreetly marked with just a simple black sign outside of the shop and a few fans standing outside. Upon entering, prominently placed pictures of the two members immediately caught one’s eye among the black and white motif. We were very happy to see the sign on the wall informing customers and fans that photography of the exhibition was not just allowed but encouraged. The exhibition was only open for two days, from 12:00 to 8:00 PM and 12:00 to 7:00 PM respectively. Thus, with only 15 hours available in total to purchase clothing and obtain the limited booklet, we regret not having more time to take even more photographs of the exhibition and various fixtures in the store! 

After checking out some of the clothing, we realized that the staff were quite friendly with fans who were making purchases at the counter. When it was our turn to head to the register, we were surprised to discover that the friendly staff was the director of the exhibition himself! We were kindly asked about international fans of SUPER★DRAGON and chatted about upcoming projects.

The store pictures in the gallery below are of the in-store photography exhibition, in which a behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoot could be seen. In addition, the we have the scanned the limited booklet which was received with each purchase so that international fans can enjoy the booklet which was difficult to obtain even for fans who live in Japan.
