On August 28th, 2020, SUPER★DRAGON will release a special collaborative “Artist Book” with BoyAge magazine titled S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~. The 160-page book will feature exclusive new photos of SUPER★DRAGON members along with a detailed history of their personal childhood and development and subsequent reflections on their time within SUPER★DRAGON. In addition, previous childhood photos and Q&A series will be included, so that the reader can look back on SUPER★DRAGON’s time as documented by BoyAge magazine.

We at Nine Dragons have compiled the following information about where fans can buy the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book online. While we have done our best to accurately research and compile the following information, any information below is subject to error and/or change.
TSUTAYA
TSUTAYA SHIBUYA offers a special benefit for customers who order the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book through their online store. Each book ordered will come with a special postcard that is exclusive to TSUTAYA SHIBUYA orders. There are two types of postcards, as shown below. Postcard A will be given out with book orders placed between the dates of August 28th and September 19th, 2020. Postcard B will be given out with book orders placed between the dates of September 19th to October 5th, 2020.
You can choose which postcard you would like to receive by ordering from the corresponding product page. The product page will only show availability of the product during the specified period in which each respective postcards will be distributed. Although the postcards are planned to be distributed with all orders, TSUTAYA SHIBUYA officially specifies that the postcard gift is subject to availability.
We at Nine Dragons do not have personal experience with placing orders through TSUTAYA SHIBUYA’s online store. There may be a chance that international debit or credit card is not accepted. There may be a chance that international orders are not supported by other circumstances. TSUTAYA SHIBUYA does not directly ship internationally. All orders must be placed through a Japanese proxy shipping service.
HMV Online
HMV offers five different options to customers who purchase the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book through their online store. On top of the regular edition cover that will be sold everywhere else, there are four limited edition covers only available by order through HMV Online. One limited cover features all members together, while the other three feature sets of three members each. You can choose the cover you want by placing an order through the unique product page for that particular cover.
HMV offers a special benefit for customers who place orders for the Regular Edition through the online store. Each book ordered will be sent with a special postcard-sized photocard exclusive to HMV orders. There is only one type of photocard, as seen in the gallery below. The photocard is not listed as a benefit for orders of the Limited Edition covers at this time.
Although the photocard is planned to be distributed with all qualifying orders, HMV Online officially specifies that the postcard gift is subject to availability.
HMV Online does directly ship internationally, but service may be disrupted due to COVID-19 response. Please check to make sure HMV will ship to your location before placing an order. About the Chara-Ani Net Sign Event
By purchasing the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book through special event vendor Chara-Ani Chance, SUPER★DRAGON fans can participate in an “net sign” event featuring SUPER★DRAGON members. This event will be the first SUPER★DRAGON-affiliated event of its kind, and was designed in consideration with the Japanese government’s recommendations in regard to COVID-19. In a net sign event, SUPER★DRAGON members will join with fans through an online video broadcast and sign copies of the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book for participants. The member will read your name and address province aloud on video (to prevent confusion among fans who may share the same name), and sign the book to your name simultaneously. In addition to the signing, fans can enjoy the chitchat between members as well as leaving comments of their own on the stream, which may get a response from the boys themselves. An archive of the net sign event video will be made available to participants so that fans can enjoy reliving the experience.

The net sign event is limited to a certain capacity of participants per member. If the applicants exceed the capacity, the participants will be chosen by lottery. Therefore, your application is not a guaranteed purchase. Payment will only be completed once your participation status is verified. Whether or not participants are chosen by lottery is unique to each member. It may be the case that some members will allow all applicants to participate while some members cannot.
International fans who are interested in participating in the net sign event must use a Japanese proxy shipping service, as Chara-Ani Chance does not directly ship internationally.
To participate in the event, you must register at the Chara-Ani chance official website. The name you use to register should be your real name. Please keep in mind, this will be the name that is read aloud by the boys. Using a nickname or pen-name is officially forbidden by Chara-Ani. The province that is read aloud with your name will be the province of your proxy shipping address.
The net sign event will be split into 6 video segments, each one hour long. Each segment will be attended to by three SUPER★DRAGON members. As well, each SUPER★DRAGON member will attend two segments. Registered Chara-Ani users can apply for any segment they would like to participate in. You must apply for the member you would like to receive a sign from by selecting “1” from the drop down menu. You can only receive one sign from that member per segment. Since every member will attend two segments, you can receive a second sign from the same SUPER★DRAGON member by applying for their sign in the other segment in which they will appear.
You can apply for more than one member’s sign in the same segment. If your participation is verified for both applications, the members will sign separate copies, even if they are attending the same segment.
Each application is for one copy of the S★D File ~Deluxe Edition~ Artist Book. If your participation is confirmed, you must pay for each book for each sign you are participating in. You will need to give your payment information (for a debit or credit card) after you are confirmed as a participant. Please verify the total amount you are applying for before you apply to make sure you do not unknowingly rack up the charges. If you do not pay within the specified deadline, your participation will be nullified by Chara-Ani. Domestic shipping of books is a flat rate of 660 yen per person, regardless of the number of books being shipped.
Special FAQ for the Chara-Ani Net Sign Event
How many signs can I apply for? How many signs can I receive per member? How many signs can I receive per segment?
You can apply once for each member in each segment. Since each member is attending two segments, you can receive a maximum of two signs from the same member. Since three members are attending each segment, you can receive a maximum of three signs per segment.
Let us remind you, each successful application costs the price of one copy of the Artist Book. Please verify how many copies you are buying before you apply. You must pay for all successful applications. You cannot choose to only pay for the ones you want, in the event that you are successful for more applications than you originally intended to pay for. In that light, we recommend you to only apply for signs that you are seriously considering.
Do I have to speak to the members directly? Do I have to speak Japanese?
You don’t have to speak Japanese in order to participate in the net sign event. You can leave comments on the live broadcast if you elect to do so, but there is no guarantee of personal time to communicate or convey a message during the sign. You will not be able to speak to them directly with a voice function.
Please keep in mind that, while you do not have to talk or understand Japanese to participate, the event will be conducted in Japanese. There is no guarantee that the SUPER★DRAGON members will be able to communicate with you in another language.
What is the capacity of participants allowed before the application becomes a lottery? What if I am not chosen to participate?
Chara-Ani Chance does not specify the capacity of participants. In the event that the application becomes a lottery, the amount of participants chosen will be equal to the maximum capacity. Your odds of failing the lottery increase as the total number of applicants increases. However, in the event that the number of applicants only slightly exceeds capacity, your odds of failing the lottery are quite slim. The capacity is determined by the member for which you are applying. If you are applying for a “popular” member, there is a higher chance of the application going to lottery. This is the first event of its kind that features SUPER★DRAGON members, but in the past, when SUPER★DRAGON held physical fansigns, it was precedent that most applications did not go to lottery. However, this is anecdotal information and by no means a guarantee of your participation being verified.
If you are not chosen to participate, you will not be held responsible to pay for the applications you did not win. You will not be charged for anything you are not participating in.
